Twitter bans use of “get more followers” schemes

Twitter has added a paragraph to it’s rules that says you can be considered a spammer if you join or promote a “get more followers quick” scheme.

In the “Spam and Abuse” section of the Twitter rules, it now states:

“Using or promoting third-party sites that claim to get you more followers (such as follower trains, sites promising “more followers fast,” or any other site that offers to automatically add followers to your account).”

In other words, signing up for one of those schemes could get you banned, or contribute to it.
