Most recently Mr. Chandra was the CEO at eCode.com, where he led the company through 3 rounds of funding and a billion dollar valuation over the course of 4 years.

Mr. Chandra recruited and retained a world class executive team comprised of Executives hired from very well known publicly traded companies – industry veterans themselves: ranging in direct industry experience of 20 years to 50 years each. The Executive Team included Vice Presidents from Veritas, Phoenix Technologies, Zilog, Plantronics, and Atari amongst others

In this period Mr. Chandra established personal relationships with all the leading Venture Capital firms on Sand Hill Road, and is very well connected to the leading Angel investors in Silicon Valley.

Mr. Chandra was picked as one of the “Top Executives” (out of 4 picked) in the entire Silicon Valley by Silicon India (the leading magazine covering Indians in hi-tech. This in an era when 38% of hi-tech companies founded in the Silicon Valley had at least one person of Indian origin in the Executive Team.

Rohit has been quoted in well over 300 major international publications  – with hardly a major US publication not having done a story (Business Week, New York Times, C-Net, San Jose Mercury News, PC Week, Jupiter Communications, Forrester Research…).

Mr. Chandra is also very highly acclaimed in the Indian Media: having had the rarest of rare honors to be on the masthead. He has been written up in EVERY major Indian publication. (Economic Times, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Business World, Outlook, Silicon India, India Post…) Rohit was the first Indian CEO to deliver the Keynote Address at an Internet World Conference: in fact at the largest Internet Conference in the world!

Furthermore, the millennium collector’s edition of Business India profiled the 70 most influential Indians in the USA, Mr. Chandra was honored in this elite gathering with a full page photo & a write up.

Prior to his tenure at eCode, he was the CEO of Tech PeopleNet Corp., a professional services company. Under his 4-year leadership the revenues grew from 0 to several million dollars.

By training Rohit is an engineer, however he is mostly commonly accused of being a ‘Sales Genius’ & a ‘Visionary.’ Surprisingly enough, he considers his biggest strength to be Marketing – in all its diverse forms. He finds Marketing to be the most enjoyable and satisfying element of his job.
