Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

The annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta runs through Oct. 11, 2009.

The skies again burst with color for the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Held every day through Sunday at Balloon Fiesta Park, Albuquerque's showcase event attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world to be part of this spectacle.

Don't forget your camera, and take advantage of Park & Ride.

While at the park, plan a visit to Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum and the Lighter Than Air Fair.

Are you Ready for the Maize Maze?

Fall is here. Children are back in school, the days are getting shorter, and the annual Maze in the Maize is open.

This year's theme is "Amazing Monarchs: Butterflies Take Wing!" The maze depicts the caterpillar and adult stages of the Monarch butterfly.

When: Weekends, now through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009

Hours:

  • Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Price: $7 for adults; $3 for children ages 4-12; Children under 4 are free
