Hello! I want to start one or two meetup.com groups, but am a bit of a luddite. I would love to find a co-organizer who is interested in similar things I am. Here are some ideas:

- Culture Caravan (or Carpool to Culture) - the group would go on jaunts to cultural events in the City, Berkeley, Oakland, etc. There are so, so many things to do down there, but it is expensive and rather lonely to drive down by oneself. There are many inexpensive, fabulous events posted on http://sf.funcheap.com/ like free nights at the DeYoung, Bawdy Storytelling in the Mission, Etsy Craft Nights... We can also explore neighborhoods, find obscure diners, go to retro movie houses, etc. You get the picture.

- La Dolce Vita - A group for folks in the North Bay who want to live the good life. A typical night might be an impromptu slow-food potluck, a good foreign film (netflix) and wine.
We can also go out on outings: take photos, sketch, go to art openings, go to Harbin or more obscure hot springs, have a salon, go to festivals... essentially enjoy all that Sonoma County has to offer in the company of interesting, aesthetically inclined people. A bottle of wine, a loaf of bread and thou...

- Mid-Century Modern - As above, but for people that are in midlife.
