the Show
The show airs “LIVE” every SATURDAY at 12 noon on 1170 AM (KLOK): the largest South Asian Radio Show in all of North America.
In an endeavor to take entrepreneurship to the grassroots we started this initiative called Sapne Salamat (Dreams Unlimited): a unique on-the-air Talk Radio Show on AM 1170: the largest South Asian Radio Station (KLOK) in North America that broadcasts from San Jose and can be heard as far away as Reno on a good day.
how You Can Help
- Speakers: I want to encourage you to please come and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs with “Your Story.” Come and speak on the air, and encourage your friends to do the same.
- Sponsorships: Know anyone that is looking to reach an affluent audience of entrepreneurs, business-owners and decision makers? We’d welcome an introduction to them for sponsorships.
This is a fun, and real forum that we have created to have a heart-to-heart chat between our Guests, host, and listeners followed by a live interactive call-in Q&A at our studios in San Jose. If you’d like to get involved in any shape or form, I whole heartedly welcome you!! Please call me/e-mail me at (408)469-4192/ radio_AT_rOOhit.DOT.com
The show was started to foster the Spirit of Entrepreneurship, and to help EVERYONE realize their dreams!
Unlike other Bollywood music shows that are playing in the background, this is a high-powered, highly-interactive, and business based show listened to by a fully engaged audience that has quickly become a premium Show on the station. It has rapidly gained a sizable listenership and in the words of Kanwal Rekhi is “TiE on Radio.”
past Shows
Have been very well received: highly encourage you to listen to a podcast of any, or all of, the past shows at http://roohit.com/radio. You can just drag-and-drop this link to your iTunes and get future episodes automatically downloaded to your iTunes / iPod / iPhone.
…there’s a very enjoyable first show we did with woman-entrepreneur Indu Navar; another one with the most-prolific-entrepreneur Siva Kumar and one without any guest.
audience / Listener-ship
White-collar: affluent/wealthy and soon to be even more affluent/wealthy/prosperous and powerful decision makers and business owners. Pay special attention to the number of call-ins the Show gets, to get a sense of how vast the reach of the Show is. Obviously we can never get to all the calls the show gets but we believe there’s several thousand listeners not calling for every one that is calling in.
